It there a way to have the carousel function vertically, similar to a vertically rotating twitter feel. Vertical image rotation would suffice in my case.

Hello,

This is Definitely Possible! However unfortunately, currently the Carousel does not support Vertical Scrolling. Consider using the Flex Slider Functionality to scroll the Images vertically. Example Code:
