Using package generator

Difficult to understand how it works... looking at some answers on this forum, I tried with demo-photography. So I used this demo file into the package generator. Result: in the canvas-package folder, menu links don't work, no contact form, not even an index file, etc...

Do I need to add more files in the generator, and if so which one ? how to choose...? Is there somewhere a simple doc saying how to select files to be upload in the generator. Thanks for help, I just renew my support license and I won't play furthermore with hundred of files and such a bad doc. If I had known I would not have acquired this template...

Please just tell me how to generate a complete site without browsing everywhere through folders... thanks

Hello,

Apologies for the Inconveniences caused!

To build a Website using the Package Generator:

  1. Go to the Package Generator Page: https://docs.semicolonweb.com/docs/getting-started/installation/#docs-snippet-package-generator and choose the demo-photography.html File and hit the Generate Button.

  2. A Custom Package is generated with the demo-photography.html File and required files to run this Page. Everything is provided exactly as it is previewed on the Live Previews: https://themes.semicolonweb.com/html/canvas/demo-photography.html .

  3. To make this Page your Index, simply rename the demo-photography.html File to index.html File. That's it.

  4. The demo-photography.html File currently does not include the Contact Form or other Pages just as it is not included in the Live Previews: https://themes.semicolonweb.com/html/canvas/demo-photography.html . Everything is included in the Package exactly as shown in the Live Previews. You can however use the general Templates provided with the Package like the contact.html Template or the faqs.html or pricing.html Templates and Copy/Paste the relevant blocks like the Form, Faqs or Pricing section in the Niche Demos and everything will work fine by default. Everything is Canvas is Plug and Play, however, if you hit a roadblock, we are always here to help you with them.

Apologies for the misunderstandings or if you had found the Documentations unhelpful. We will definitely keep improving this further and add more easy information on how to use the Files.

Hope this Helps!
