Hello, I am trying to come up with an option for my homepage since the sliders do not work in IE11.

Is there an option to have a video play full screen and have the rotating captions, like in the slider over the video.

This is a really great template and I still love it, but I am trying to come up with options for a slide that will play in IE,

Thank you!

Hello,

Apologies for the Inconveniences.

Unfortunately, this is something which is currently available only with the Swiper Sliders. Other Sliders currently do not support this Functionality and if we did have to implement this functionality with other Sliders, it will need a fair bit of customization and thorough testing. And unfortunately, we currently do not provide Customization related Support according to the Item Support Policy: https://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy . Also, Support for IE11 will be subsequently dropped in the Future Updates of Canvas.

You can consider using Revolution Slider instead: http://themes.semicolonweb.com/html/canvas/slider-revolution.html .

Thanks for Understanding.

Thank you for this. Does the Revolution Slider play in IE11?

Hello,

Revolution Slider works fine for now on IE11.

Hello,

We have just checked out the Revolution Slider provided with the Package and we can confirm it works perfectly fine for us. You can check this Page: http://themes.semicolonweb.com/html/canvas/slider-revolution.html or all the Sliders here: http://themes.semicolonweb.com/html/canvas/rs-demos.html on IE11. They work perfectly fine for us.

We recommended updating to the Latest Version of Canvas and then consider checking this again. Thanks for your Patience.

Hello, thank you. Because I am behind im my updates, could you advise me on the easiest most sure way of updating at this point?
Thank you!

Hello,

Since Canvas is an HTML Template, you will need to manually Update the Files according to the File/Code Changes mentioned in the Changelog: http://docs.semicolonweb.com/docs-group/changelog/ . Since there is a Version jump, we recommend taking a Backup First. Then replace the existing CSS/JS/PHP files while tracking your Customizations if there are any for these files. For HTML, you will need to check the Changelogs and make the changes accordingly.

Hope this Helps!

Thank you for this. How can I tell what version of Canvas I am using? If I am on 5, do I need to completely start from scratch with 6!!! I have so many pages built. Or can I just replace CSS/JS/PHP files?

Thank you!

SSemicolon WebSTAFFFeb 22, 2021

Hello,

You can detect the Version of Canvas used on your Website by checking the style.css File. We have checked yours, and you are using v6.0.3. Replacing the CSS/JS/PHP Files will work fine if you are using v6.x. However, if you have made any changes in these Files, you will lose the Changes. If you are using Canvas v5.x, then you will need to upgrade from scratch due to the amount of changes: http://docs.semicolonweb.com/docs/upgrading-v5-to-v6/migration/ .

Hope this Helps!
