How do I force the x-placement of the .dropdown-menu class to only open down (or only up)?

Hello,
You can simply add data-flip="false" Attribute to the .dropdown-toggle Element: https://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.5/components/dropdowns/#via-javascript .
