Search text not showing

Question

Hi, When I click on the magnifying glass to enter a search I don't see the text "Type & Hit Enter.." or the x to close the search bar. The search works it's just the text missing. Is there a dependency somewhere that I may be missing or text for search is the same color as white background?

I have tried the search in Google Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, all the latest versions. I think that the text is white which is the same color as the background. The search does return results if I type in a query, I am just unable to see the type.

Also, I can view the text search when I load the demo site.
