Good evening.

Have created a website using the wedding template. However, I get the error:

Sorry! Something went wrong.
This page didn't load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.

I can confirm that I have my Google API key in place and have added the domain to the Google API Console.

Kind regards

Strangely this now seems to be working! And I havent changed anything. Will mark as resolved.

Ok - not resolved...the Google Map appears in IE.
But errors on an iPhone and Kindle.

I have checked javascript is enabled on the devices.

Marked as unresolved.

Hello,

We have just checked out your Website and this appears to be an Issue with the Google Maps API Key. Please login to your Google Maps API Key Console and set the Key Restriction to None.

Hope this Helps!

Does this not leave the API open for everyone else to use!?
I thought you were supposed to restrict the API to HTTP Referrers and list the website I allow to use my key?

RrobnelderDec 6, 2016

i have added the full url (ie http://mydomain.co.uk) into the HTTP Referrers as well as the .mydomain.co.uk/ and it now seems to be working.
Didnt need to do this with any of my other sites...so a little strange.
Will check on other devices tomorrow and provide an update.

Hello,

Yes! Adding a Referrer would be the much better solution and must solve the issue! Sometimes, the API blocks access to Mobile Websites but the reason/issue is not always completely clear, however your issue must be resolved now. Thanks for your Patience.
