One-Page Setup

I'm a complete newbie with websites and I was wondering what I may be doing wrong when I try and set-up the one-page websites. In the documentation it explains what files are needed for the HTML sites:
HTML/css - Extra Stylesheets Folder
HTML/include - Required PHP Functions Folder
HTML/images - Images Folder
HTML/js - Javacripts Folder
HTML/style.css - Main Stylesheet File
HTML/index.html - Index File/Homepage

So I copy those into a new directory for my site. But when I take the op-canvas-fade-slider.html from the one-page folder and try and use it the site is all screwed up. If I click on it inside the one-page folder it looks fine...however I want the op-canvas-fade-slider.html site to be my index page in root folder.

Again I'm sure for those that do this for a living are rolling your eyes but I don't know anything about website and coding so any insight would be helpful. I am trying to build a basic one-page site and plug-in some info for an HOA. We like the op-canvas-fade-slider.html example and would like to edit this one for their needs.

Thanks for any help.

Hello,

Apologies about the Inconveniences caused! Not at all! You can always ask us any question you wish to and we would be always happy to help you.

You will need to change the CSS/JS Linking in the One Page HTML File you are planning to use and remove the ../ Link prefix and change other Links to one-page/ to make sure that the File Linkings are pointing to the Correct File Locations. Also, make sure to upload the one-page Folder to your Web Server as well since it contains the CSS File for the One Page Styling. Please consider using this File we have created for you to be simply used in the Root Folders: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kxa8jjaeiujz5pv/op-canvas-fade-slider.html?dl=1 .

These are the following Folders/Files you will need for the One Page site:

  • css/ Folder

  • images/ Folder (However, you can delete the Images inside this Folder according to your Preference, but don't delete the images/icons/ Folder)

  • include/ Folder (However, you can delete the rs-plugin/ Folder)

  • js/ Folder

  • one-page/onepage.css File

  • style.css File

This will definitely work fine. Hope this Helps!

Let us know if we can help you with anything else or if you find any further issues.
