New install, several problems

Question

Just installed Canvas and starting to layout new site. Having the following problems...

Dev version of site here... http://dev1.wbparts.com

#1 Top Advert ad.jpg not showing up next to log. Doesn't show in your demo version either for some reason.
#2 Slider controls (next, previous) don't seem to be taking on the colors from colors.css. I've changed hex to blue, and notice these controls are still green.
#3 I'd like to have a search box always visible instead of how the search is now. I found some code you supplied to a comment about this on Themeforest site but it's really ugly looking, doesn't line up, shows little magnifying glasses all over, etc. Is there any way you can help me to get replace the current search method with a regular search box?

Thank you. The reason I wasn't seeing the top ad is because my Ad Blocker Extension in Chrome was blocking it. The colors.css edit worked.

The search box looks good on the file you sent, I will try it on my site in the next day or so.
