Menu resizing issue with subtitles

Question

I'm trying to create pages using the subtitle menu type, but there seems to be an issue when using the menu type with subtitles.

To reproduce my issue, if you look at the demo page menu-6.html, all works well. But if you remove the Slider section and try it, when you scroll up or down, there is a big square white block that pops up as you scroll to the top that appears momentarily and the text shifts left until the menu resize is complete.

Any suggestions? It seems to work fine if I use an empty section with id=slider but I'm not sure if thats the best solution.
