Links don't work in col_half divs

I want to set up two columns with links, but as soon as I put the content inside the <div class="col_half"> all links stop working. The browser doesn't even recognize the links. What can I do to fix this?

Hmm, no worries - I had a <div class="container clearfix"> below the columns. When I removed that it worked as expected again. Weird.
