jQuery Core Versions and MaxCDN?

Greetings,

In Canvas 4.0.1, you're using jQuery v1.11.3 in the js/jquery.js file. I have two questions about this:

  1. Has Canvas been tested to work with the latest version of jQuery Core v2.2.3 or is it best to stay with v1.11.3

  2. Instead of using the local copy of jquery.js included with Canvas, will there be any problem calling jQuery Core from the CDN at http://code.jquery.com/jquery/
--- In other words, is your file jquery.js unaltered and interchangeable with the versions at MaxCDN?

Thank you.

Hello,

Canvas has not been tested with the Latest Version of jQuery yet but there should not be any issues. We always use untouched versions of jQuery and Bootstrap. so you can definitely use the Latest CDN Version as it should not cause any issues. Do let us know if you face any issues with this and we will surely fix this up. Thanks for your Patience.

Meanwhile, do let us know if we can help you with anything else or if you find any further issues with Canvas.

Great. Good to know.

On another note, is there no email notification option in your support forum when you answer questions? I haven't found one, which means we have to check the forum manually any time we ask a question.

Thank you.

Oh...just curious, but why do you use jQuery 1.11.3 when there's been so many newer versions since then? That's why I was wondering if there was a particular reason you'd use an older version with Canvas.
