Hi!!

I am totally confused with the theme installation after referring the Documentation provided. The documentation says the following:

Follow the steps below to get started with your Site Template:
Installation
Open the Package/HTML Folder to find all the Templates Files
You will need to Upload these files to your Web Server using FTP in order to use it on your Website.
Make sure you upload the required files/folders listed below:
HTML/css - Extra Stylesheets Folder
HTML/include - Required PHP Functions Folder
HTML/images - Images Folder
HTML/js - Javacripts Folder
HTML/style.css - Main Stylesheet File
HTML/index.html - Index File/Homepage
The other files can be used according to your preferences.
You're now good to go..! Start adding your Content and show off your Brand New Beautiful Website in style.

Using Niche Demos
Canvas makes creating Websites a very easy process and it becomes even more easier with the inclusion of Niche Demos. Niche Demos are premade concepts of different categories of Websites requiring minimal setup with a faster turnaround time. All the Niche Demos run on the native style.css and css/js Files. You can find the Main Homepages of the Niche Demos in the Package/HTML Folder with the names: demo-{niche}.html Template.

To setup the Niche Demos you will need the following Folders/Files:

css/ Folder
images/ Folder (However, you can delete the Images inside this Folder according to your Preference, but don’t delete the images/icons/ Folder)
include/ Folder (However, you can delete the rs-plugin/ Folder if the Niche Demos does not use the Revolution Slider)
js/ Folder
demos/{niche}/ Folder
style.css File
You can simply delete the other files depending on what you want to use. Additionally, you simply rename the demo-{niche}.html File to index.html File so that this file is viewed as your Default Homepage. That's All! You can now start Editing the Files according to your Website's Needs.

Kindly let me know the answers to the following questions:

  1. If I don't want to use a Niche Demo, than I just have to upload all the folders as mentioned in the Installation along with the inner pages of my choice...am I right?

  2. Say for eg. I want to use Business Niche Demo, than kindly let me know exactly which folders (along with the path) and pages needs to be uploaded and will it work properly. As just for trial I selected the folders Package HTML>HTML>demos>business and uploaded css, images folder and the css style sheet and demo-business.html page from the main folder, but it does not display the images and stuff properly. I even renamed the html page to index.html, but still it doesn't work. Maybe I am missing out something.

  3. How to use the Revolution Sliders?

Looking forward to hearing soon from your end in this regard. Cheers!!

Best regards,

Nuruddin B.

Hello,

  1. If you do not use the Niche Demos, you can simply upload the Classic Files you need without the demos/ Folder.

  2. If you have followed the Documentation > Start > Niche Demos section correctly, everything should work correctly. Please provide us with a Live URL so that we can check out the errors and provide you with more assistance on this. Thanks for your Patience.

  3. You can use any of the Revolution Slider Templates available in the rs-demos.html Template. For detailed setup instructions, please check the Official Documentation: https://www.themepunch.com/revsliderjquery-doc/slider-revolution-jquery-5-x-documentation/ .

Hope this Helps!

Hi!!

Thanks for the prompt response. From what I have understood is:

  1. If you do not use the Niche Demos, you can simply upload the Classic Files you need without the demos/ Folder - So I just have to upload these folders and the selected pages if I am not using a niche demo

HTML/css – Extra Stylesheets Folder
HTML/include – Required PHP Functions Folder
HTML/images – Images Folder
HTML/js – Javacripts Folder
HTML/style.css – Main Stylesheet File
HTML/index.html – Index File/Homepage

But my question still remains the same, do I have to upload all the abovementioned folders even for a classic files as a couple of folders are huge in size. I would appreciate if you can let me know exactly what files and folders do I need to upload with an example of any one classic and niche demo. This would really help. Secondly if I am not using a niche demo than what about the images and other things which are called from the demo folder?

  1. If you have followed the Documentation > Start > Niche Demos section correctly, everything should work correctly. Please provide us with a Live URL so that we can check out the errors and provide you with more assistance on this. Thanks for your Patience - Don't have a live url as yet. I am working on it and shall share the url soon once done.

  2. You can use any of the Revolution Slider Templates available in the rs-demos.html Template. For detailed setup instructions, please check the Official Documentation: https://www.themepunch.com/revsliderjquery-doc/slider-revolution-jquery-5-x-documentation/ - Shall check this.

Thanks a ton. Cheers!!

With best regards,

Hello,

From the images/ Folder, you can delete everything or whatever you would not like to use depending on the Template you are going to use except the icons/ Folder as it is used by some styles in the style.css File. And then from the include/ Folder, you can delete the rs-plugin/ Folder if you are not using the Revolution Slider Plugin. Being a Multi-Purpose Template, everything is included within the Packages by default and it is your responsibility as a user to detect the Files you need to use for your Projects. We are already in the process of creating a tool to allow users to select the Templates they would like to use and generate a Package according to the files needed for those template. So this will be available in the future soon.

Hope this Helps!
