Sorry for this, but i'm at a loss to know why i'm having so many installation issues.
I have never had any problems with several years of installing wordpress templates.

first there is no zip file for the package. so i created one to allow me to upload quickly to my website via FTP.
uploaded and extracted it to the theme folder i created under wp-content.
extracted it and wordpress tells me "Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet."

There are no php files anywhere just html files.
please help.

Hello,

Unfortunately Canvas is not a WordPress Theme but a Static HTML Template which is why you were not able to install it on WordPress. WordPress Themes can only be found in the WordPress Category and are priced between $39-$64. But Site Templates are priced at $18. Thanks for your Patience.

Do let us know if we can help you with anything else. Thanks. :)

So how does one install the template?

Hello,

Since Canvas is a Static HTML5/CSS3 Template, you can simply upload the Folder/Files in the Same Structure provided with the Package via FTP to your Web Server and it will work fine Out of the Box.

Hope this Helps!
