Increase resolution of Instagram thumbnail

Hello,

Is there a way to increase the resolution of the Instagram "data-resolution="thumbnail" class, or to resize the "standard_resolution" class so that the images are cropped to a square box (like they are when the thumbnail class is set)?

I am able to get increased quality with the standard_resolution class, but I also need to retain the consistent square image size.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Unfortunately, this is currently not supported at the moment as the Standard Resolution Images uses 612x612 Resolution for the Images. Consider using low_resolution instead.

Thanks for the reply.

The low_resolution class ALSO loses the consistent square image size. Is there no way to set the thumbnail class resolution to an increased value?

Hello,

Actually these are the Images provided directly by the Instagram API, which are stored on their Servers. So the Image Resolution cannot be controlled by the Code since Instagram does not provide any control on the Image Resolutions and their cropping. Hope this Helps.
