Image optimization didn't help my PageSpeed

Hi again,

As I struggle to learn coding and web development, there are some issues I can't find solutions on the web, and for those cases, I would simply assume that maybe the template has something to do with it. I'm sorry if it doesn't, haha.

To the problem:
My current PageSpeed score is ~47, and among the opportunities to improve it were "Serve images in next-gen formats", "Efficiently encode images" and "Properly size images".

I solved these three problems with Cloudnary, but my new PageSpeed dropped to ~43.

I know these scores can oscilate, but at the best, the PageSpeed would be the same. Can someone explain why my image optimization didn't work?

And also, how can I improve all the other metrics (FCP, FMP, Time to Interactive, etc) of PageSpeed?

Regards,
Pedro

Hello,

The Template Codes do not control the quality of your Images and it is the user's responsibility to add properly optimized images on your Website. While, there are always an opportunity to improve Page Loading Speed, the Google Lighthouse Plugin which determines the Page Speed of a Webpage, is really strict in terms of Image Optimizations and several other factors. You will need to Hire a Dedicated Page Speed specialist if you require a Higher Rating. On the contrary, the Pingdom Tools: https://tools.pingdom.com/#5a6eff836b400000 shows a pretty fast Load time for your Website.

Lazy Load and not using the Page Transition functionality greatly effects the Speed Score and here is an excellent example for Our own Demos: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fthemes.semicolonweb.com%2Fhtml%2Fcanvas%2Fintro-lazyload.html&fbclid=IwAR2ZVcANyZo-j3BcWXIVz5MYiQZyAv-VktoNpuYb5sl_VQ1PAxyqGB66cew&tab=desktop .

Hope this Helps!
