Thanks for such a detailed explanation on this! We completely understand this and agree with you. However, currently this functionality is not available out of the Box and will require Customizations in order to make the "All Categories" Link show by default and Open the Categories. We will work on this and release this in an Update but currently we do not have a tentative date as to when this will be available. So if you need this urgently, we recommend using our Customization Services.

But if the Solution to this is not too lengthy and can be done in a short while, we assure you we will provide you with Solution asap. Thanks for your Patience.
