I read the documentation, but there is no tutorial about exaclty how to set this up...

The packages folder holds 953 HTML documents, the demo holds 44 folders, but none of the folders include an index.html

Where do I start with this?

Hello,

Since Canvas is a Multi-Purpose Template, everything is included by default exactly as it is shown on the Demos. As a Template Package, all the CSS/JS and HTML Templates are provided collectively for easier understanding and usage. It is then upon the User to isolate the HTML Files for your Website manually as we currently do not provide Customization related Support according to the Item Support Policy: https://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy . Please consider checking out the Documentation > Start > Niche Demos: http://docs.semicolonweb.com/docs/getting-started/niche-demos/ Section.

Suppose, if you are using the Construction Niche Demo, the File can be found in the Package/HTML Folder with the name: demo-construction.html Template.

These are the following Folders/Files you will need for the Construction Niche Templates:

  • css/ Folder

  • images/ Folder (However, you can delete the Images inside this Folder according to your Preference, but don’t delete the images/icons/ Folder)

  • include/ Folder

  • js/ Folder

  • demos/construction Folder

  • style.css File

  • demo-construction.html File

You can simply delete the other files depending on what you want to use. Same goes for other Niche Demos as well. We are working on a Package Generator and it will be available soon.

Hope this Helps. Thanks for your Patience.

Do let us know if we can help you with anything else or if you find any further issues with Canvas.

Tried that but it doesn't work at all, can you get on live chat with me , maybe on Facebook chat, because I need instructions, or at the minimum make a video that shows how to do this!

Hello,

Thanks for your Patience!

We have just launched the Package Generator which is definitely the best solution for you! Please generate your Custom Package with only the Construction Demos here: http://docs.semicolonweb.com/docs/getting-started/installation/ .

This will definitely work fine. Hope this Helps!

HI,

I have been building websties since 1999, so I'm no rookie...I'm actually a Drupal guy, and I can't figure this out!

First of all, what is your name ? "SemiColonWeb Team." is very inpersonal

I need either a chat session with you (whoever you are, is your name SemiColon? ;) or a video on how to do this.

My facebook URL to chat is:

https://www.facebook.com/brunovincentcanada

I'm on Thai time, if this is as easy as you say it is, let's meet for a 5 minute chat and get this done.

A video takes a few minutes to make...create one that shows exaclty what the steps to take, ONE BY ONE!

Thanks;)
Bruno

Hello,

Apologies about the Inconveniences caused!

However, this is an HTML Template and practically there is no setup required for this. Prior Knowledge of HTML/CSS Coding is required. Here are the Steps you need to go through for this:

  1. Download the Entire Package from ThemeForest and then sort the Files according to what you need for your Website, or, Use the Package Generator by just choosing the HTML Files required for your Website and the Files will be automatically sorted.

  2. Edit the HTML Files using a Text Editor, like Sublime Text, to add/delete or modify the content/design/functionality. Use XAMPP to check the Files and the Design/Functionality locally before uploading.

  3. Upload the Files as-is to your Web Servers using FTP.

Thats it! Thats all is required to work with Canvas.

Unfortunately, we currently do not provide any Installation Services or Chat Support. You will need to either do the setup manually or Hire a Freelancer to help you with this, as we do not provide Customization related Support: https://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy .

Meanwhile, we will definitely try adding an Installation Video in the Near Future.

Hope this Helps! This is Josh.
