How to properly use a youtube video as a flex slider slide?

Hello, I have a youtube video I would like to use as one of the slides on my main slider (which is using flexslider). I currently have it working using the youtube video embed code but seeing how there are video backgrounds and other cleaner implementations of a youtube embed I figured there would be some specific code to use for the slider?
