I am able to make the Canvas5 one page site work as long as it is in the index.html file is in the one-page folder. How do I make one page templates function as the main site?

Hello,
You will need to change the CSS/JS Linking in the One Page HTML File you are planning to use and remove the ../ Link prefix and change other Links to one-page/ to make sure that the File Linkings are pointing to the Correct File Locations. Also, make sure to upload the one-page Folder to your Web Server as well, since it contains the CSS File for the One Page Styling.
Simply use this Template: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tq2oklcdzm531s3/one-page.html?dl=1 .
These are the following Folders/Files you will need for the One Page site:
css/ Folder
images/ Folder (However, you can delete the Images inside this Folder according to your Preference, but don't delete the images/icons/ Folder)
include/ Folder (However, you can delete the rs-plugin/ Folder)
js/ Folder
one-page/onepage.css File
style.css File
