Guideline on customization with LESS & future upgrades

Hello Team,
We are about to kickoff the development on Canvas.

We want to customize on LESS instead of CSS. Is there any guidelines and best practices and things to keep in mind...

**1) How to setup less for easy completion? **
(Documentation on "Setting up LESS CSS", Step 2 is confusing, since "js/plugins.js" no more included in the <head>)

**3) Is there any guideline when customizing LESS, what does it mean when applying future upgrades? **
(Especially, we need to edit individual less files under less Folder, or we should approach differently to achieve deep customization?)

Thanks in advance.

This is terrible; it's not allowing me to edit the above post. Says "You do not have a License for Guideline on customization with LESS & future upgrades to Create a New Topic. Please Purchase or Renew License.". Where is I have a one year support is in place.

Wanted to change the word 'completion' to 'compilation'

Thanks

Hello,

Apologies about the Delays and Thanks for your Patience!

  1. Apologies about the typo mistake on this. We will fix this shortly. Meanwhile, you can simply add the Script at the bottom of the Page just after the js/plugins.js JS File Linking.

  2. Although, we add Changelogs along with details of File Changes, so you can change only those files that have been changed without affecting your Customizations, however, we recommend using a Custom LESS File like css/custom.css File for Customized Codes so that you can simply update the Default Files without working too much on finding the changed codes.

Hope this Helps!
