Hi,
I added google maps to a page. Created the API with Google as suggested. But still no luck. I looked at other comments and then went back and enabled a bunch of other Map APIs and now I see the error in the console saying I need to enable billing????

Is this for real? So confusing. Can you please assist?

I disabled all the (map) API's I enabled before. Which API EXACTLY do I have to enable for the maps to work and do I have to enable a billing account for that to work?I don't need anything complicated, just a simple location (city, town).

Every time I try to problem solve it comes up with a new error. Going around in circles.

Hello,

Please consider checking out the Documentations on the Google Maps: http://docs.semicolonweb.com/docs/shortcodes/google-maps/ which should help you with going through the process of generating the API Keys for using with Google Maps.

Additionally, you will also need to enable billing (you get $200 free every month) for your Google Cloud account for using the Google Maps APIs and this is something we cannot control and Google requires this for using their APIs. You can get all the details here: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key .

Hope this Helps!
