I only have GDPR on my index page; I can see in cookies.js and functions.js the expiration is supposed to be set to 30 days, but every time I refresh the page, it asks again. I'm self-taught, so not sure if I'm missing something.

Simply remove the data-persistent="true" Attribute from the .gdpr-settings Element and this will make sure that the GDPR Notifications Box is not shown for 30 days or according to what you set it to.
