Format phone number in contact form

Hi,

I realize that this is not a question about Canvas but I'm hoping you can help me.

I'm trying to format the phone number in the email sent by your sendmail email.

Simple dashes would be just fine, anything to make it a bit easier to read.
example XXX-XXX-XXXX
