Can you give all users an estimate when FontAwesome 5 will be implemated?
I am too hessitant to just implement the CDN version via: <link href="https://use.fontawesome.com/releases/v5.0.1/css/all.css" rel="stylesheet">
As FontAwesome warns of not deleting previous version 4 files.
I had an update notification email Nov 11th.
Downloaded files and noted Changslog only up to 4.5.1 (26h July, 2017)

Currently we are working on releasing an Update with the Bootstrap 4 shortly, so the Icons remain unchanged. However, you can definitely implement the CDN directly since this will not affect the existing Icons in any way. We will simplify the loading of Icons in our future releases.
