Hello,
You can simply use the data-speed="500" attribute to set the Slide Animation Speed. For complete list of Settings, please check out the Documentation > Shortcodes > Responsive Slider Section.

Btw, in your manual, you have a high level section for sliders (where I was searching for the options) and another one in shortcodes. That is confusing.

Actually, the Main Section for Sliders provided in the Documentation is for the HERO Sliders. And since Flex Slider mostly acts as shortcode and can be added anywhere, it was listed inside the Shortcodes Section.
