Is it possible to also filter the portfolio carousel? (Use the portfolio filters like here http://themes.semicolonweb.com/html/canvas/portfolio.html# in the portfolio carousel here http://themes.semicolonweb.com/html/canvas/carousel.html ?

Unfortunately, this is not supported at the moment. Filters do not work with Carousels.
