Hello,

I hope you are well.
The email form does not send. I contacted the web hosting company and they said all looked well in terms of the username and port but that she didn't think I needed quotation marks around the values. I am using the single page format and trying to connect via SMTP. The server has PHP 7.0.33 installed and is running apache 2.4.46 on Linux. The path to send mail is /usr/sbin/sendmail. I am not sure what is wrong. I get an error message that the form encountered an unexpected error with the suggestion that I visit GitHub.com for troubleshooting information. Please advise. Thank you. Take good care and have a great day! Best regards, Naj

Good morning! Please close this ticket. I don't see how to do it on my end. I removed all the SMTP and tried using PHP for the form and it worked fine. So, I am going to leave it as a PHP form. I was wrong to assume the host blocked PHP and forced SMTP. (I believe they used to.) So, thank you. Take good care and have a nice day.

Hello,

Thanks for your Patience. We were preparing a reply when we noticed that we had another reply from you. So sorry about the Delay.

Glad that the issue was resolved. It appears that you were facing an issue with SMTP. Consider checking the Documentation on how to setup SMTP: http://docs.semicolonweb.com/docs/forms/form-setup/#docs-snippet-php using the include/form.php File. We recommend using Gmail SMTP for much better support and guaranteed Email deliveries. Additionally, SMTP Issues are often related to Server Configurations and restrictions or incorrect ports. Fixing them should fix the issues automatically.

We would recommend you to use SMTP rather than using the PHP mail() as this minimizes the risk of delivering the Emails in the SPAM/JUNK Folders.

Hope this Helps!

Let us know if we can help you with anything else or if you find any further issues.

Have a Great Day and Stay Safe.
