This definitely should not happen! Here are the steps we recommend you to follow:

1. Use the Custom Package from here: https://docs.semicolonweb.com/docs/getting-started/installation/#docs-section-package-generator and choose the demo-saas.html Template, then press the Generate button. A Custom Package will be generated for you only based on your selected file.

2. And then you can simply edit those HTML Files manually with some knowledge of HTML/CSS according to your needs in a Text Editor like Sublime Text/VS Code.

3. For extra Codes/Components you can use the Main Full Package (downloaded from ThemeForest).

4. Upload the edited to your Servers using FTP. We recommend starting with a Localhost Setup on your personal PC/Macbook before you deploy using FTP (in the public_html Folder).

If there are any specific issues you are facing, please provide us with more details and we will guide you further. We can assure that this issue is not related to Canvas Template itself but the Customized Codes. You can find the details of errors on the Page using the Developer Console on your Browser.
