Demo-Writer Add To Cart functionality

Not sure if I'm missing something here...

In the Demo Writer package, there's an include directory, and within that, ajax directory.
I'm looking at Book-Page.html which is used by the quick-view feature of the demo, and the 'add to cart' functionality fails due to referencing a page that isn't there: 'book-page-2.html'.

Could I please have some support regarding the missing page, or in more general terms, which components are required for a basic shopping cart, payment + confirmation pages?

Thanks,
Jonny

Hello,

The AJAX Quick View is only used to open the Book Details in a Modal and provided only as a Design Template.

Canvas is essentially a Static HTML5/CSS3 Template and any Shopping Cart integration will work fine with it. However, these integrations are not provided out of the box and are required to be done manually. Support for this is currently not provided according to the Item Support Policy provided here: https://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy . You will need to hire a Freelancer to integrate your Custom Plugins with the Templates Templates or do it yourself manually.

Currently, support is included only for the Features and Designs included with Canvas.

You can find the Shopping Templates for Order flow here:

Cart Template: http://themes.semicolonweb.com/html/canvas/cart.html and Checkout Template: http://themes.semicolonweb.com/html/canvas/checkout.html . Currently an Payment/Order Confirmation Template is not available but we will definitely add this in the near future.

Hope this Helps!

I see, thank you for the help.

I do have a related question:
The AJAX Quick View you mentioned doesn't seem to be working either, I just see the spinner for loading. If I inspect the element then I can see an error message of 'unable to load'.

I've double checked the file path and even gone back to the vanilla demo with no luck.
What files are required for the quick view to load the modal?

Thanks,
Jonny

Side note - in response to your original reply, I think the links within book-page.html that refer to the 'book-page-2.html' page should be amended to 'book-page.html#' to avoid confusion.

Thanks

Hello,

Very Happy to Help!

  1. If you are viewing this File using the Local File Systems this will not work as AJAX and other related functionalities are disabled by the Browser on Local File Systems. Simply check the Files using XAMPP or an Online Web Server and the Quick View functionality will work perfectly fine. You can check the Live Example here: http://themes.semicolonweb.com/html/canvas/demo-writer.html (There is an Alignment Issue with the Dates/Author and we will fix this shortly in an Update).

  2. Yes, we agree and we will remove this. Apologies for the confusion.

Do let us know if we can help you with anything else or if you find any further issues with Canvas.

Thanks for the response :)

I have moved the demo files to my AWS server, but I'm still experiencing the same issue.
You can see it here:

Thanks

Actually, that legitimately looks like it cannot be found.
Hold that thought....

Yeah I saw the same, thought I had included it from local.

Thanks again!
