Hello,

Thanks for reporting this. We will definitely release a fix for this shortly. Meanwhile, we would love to know more about how are you using your Canvas License, as we have detected some suspicious activity and illegal License Use. Thanks for Understanding.

Awaiting your Reply.

I am just trying different layouts and building pages on my local machine for a website that I might build in the future.
Sorry can you elaborate on what you mean by illegal license use and how you detect this as there is nothing mentioned about tracking software.

SsupermanageJun 28, 2020

Hi Livemenu.co.uk is my site which is using Enfold wordpress
the rest are not my sites. Not sure what you mean.

SsupermanageJun 28, 2020

I'm also curious to know how you're finding out what is 'going with your template' without some kind of tracking script. Bear in mind you need to declare all this under GDPR or any data protection act in any country. Even if it is by seeing which domain is calling a js/css script on your server this needs to be declared in the privacy policy not only for you but more importantly for people using Canvas on live sites as they could be liable to privacy violations because they're not declaring who's collecting data for which purpose.
Please clarify in simple terms what data you are collecting even if it is unidentifiable, clients still need to declare this in their privacy policy. Otherwise everyone could be breaking laws.

Hello,

It is surprising how you are shifting the blame to an imaginary Tracking Script. You can go ahead and scan all the JS/CSS/PHP/HTML Files and you will find nothing as there is no Tracking Script. Moreover, our Files go through Stringent Checks from Envato and they would find a Tracking Script if any and this is strictly not allowed. All the Plugins used in Canvas are RAW/Stock Plugin Codes from the respective Developer's Websites and you can easily use their CDNs without any issues. Our JS Codes have no external links or server references.

As mentioned, we are capable to find out "What is Going on with Our Templates" by searching through our User's Profiles which we feel are abusing Canvas Licenses. We did ask you about this in the Past as well, as you were using Multiple Domains, but we did not receive a clear answer from you.

So, Livemenu.co.uk is your Website where you are clearing selling a Customized version of Canvas to your Users with a £60 per month subscription fee. The other site addresses provided in the above replies is mentioned in your Our Work Section and they use a modified version of Canvas! So this type of use is not allowed under Regular License which you have right now. Also, Canvas is used on Multiple Websites mentioned on your own Website and you own just 1 Regular License of Canvas. Under 1 Regular License, you can create a Website for 1 Client and charge them only a One-Time Fee! Not a Subscription. Multiple End-Users and Subscriptions come under Extended Licenses: https://themeforest.net/licenses/faq#which-license-do-i-need-a . You can ThemeForest's Official guidelines on this or contact their Customer Support for confirmations. So, you will either need to Stop using Canvas on these Websites or Purchase a Proper License to continue using them.

Hope this makes things clearer.

There are also dead-links and WordPress sites.
The point is this is old content which needs updating (I've already said they're not mine). I will use Demo Landing once it is fixed on livemenu.co.uk end of.

SSemicolon WebSTAFFJun 29, 2020

It is hard to believe what you are saying. These websites are listed by you in your "Our Work" Section, they are using Canvas 5.9 which is not that old which was released after you bought the License and also they are using some of the things you has asked us in the Support Forums. Looks like we will need to contact them Directly and ask them to provide Proof Of License. Also, we will be reporting this to Envato, who will look to take further course of action on this.

SsupermanageJul 7, 2020

OK can we be clear on what you're saying? Are you saying you won't support me anymore on here?
What has been your finding? There are plenty more theme authors out there who will give benefit of doubt to their customers. It is a shame you'd rather believe something that has no proof instead of what I am saying.

SSemicolon WebSTAFFJul 7, 2020

Hello,

  1. We have never said we will not provide Support. If we did not have to provide Support, we will simply disable your Support Forums Account. We happily provide Support to Users who don't even have a Support License. The question here is about genuineness.

  2. Findings? You have said: Livemenu.co.uk is my site and the other sites we have mentioned are in your Our Works Section which use the Canvas Template, which clearly means that you have Built them using Canvas while you have just 1 Regular License of Canvas. You are required to have 1 Regular License per Website. If you have other Licenses under other usernames, can you provide us with the License Codes?

Well, we did give the benefit of doubt to you in the Past while you were asking Questions on the Support Forums with references to different domains. It would be a shame if you are using a Template going against the License Terms. We work pretty hard on Our Templates and this would be an insult to our work. So please provide us proofs for the Websites mentioned on your Website and we will close this.

Hope this makes things clearer for you.

Good Day. Stay Safe.

I have renewed my support because you guys have been good and I am not going to deny that.
I told you that the site needs an update it has old content on there and they are not mine. Other than removing those links which I will do I told you when the Demo Landing is fixed I cannot show you how else that it is not mine.
What proof do you require?
Perhaps since you're convinced you know better can you explain why there are deadlinks and outdated wordpress sites on there?
This is petty!

Hello,

Here is a Breakdown:

  • The Title of your Website is: LiveMenu - The Complete Online Restaurant Ordering System.

  • All the Websites we have mentioned above, are listed on your Website under Our Works section is using the same Online Restaurant Ordering System with Canvas v5.9 Designs. And all these websites are Live and Running Businesses. Anyone can search these websites on Google with their details:

https://newdelhigrays.co.uk/order-online

https://masalaonestaines.co.uk/order-online

https://grillzbase.co.uk/order-online

https://shahidas.co.uk/order-online

https://soalteerestaurant.co.uk/order-online

  • We have already asked you for proofs by providing us with License Codes for these Websites, but we have't got them yet.

So if your are your Website is selling an Online Restaurant Ordering System Service and the Websites listed are using these Services with Canvas Designs, what does this really mean? It is not clear enough? We will never confront anyone without clear indications or unnecessary agendas. We are here to make Our Customers happy and have a pleasant experience creating a Website with Canvas. Not to unnecessarily trouble them with anything.

Anyways, this has been already reported to Envato and someone from their team will contact you soon. We are closing this discussion. You can get in touch with us on semicolonweb@gmail.com for any further discussions. And do send us proofs of the Licenses for these websites at the earliest.

Have a Good Day. Stay Safe.
