Demo-car template Models menu item - carousel and swipe behavior

I love the new demo and want to use it to sell a line of women's clear handbags. It is a beautiful design and has a 360 degree view with rotation that is killer.

Now the problem:
It about the swipe behavior of the carousel. When I view the demo from my phone, I open the Models menu and try to advance to the next car by swiping the screen. Instead of advancing to the next car, it automatically scrolls through them until it reaches the last car in the carousel. When I try to swipe backwards, it doesn't allow it. To move back to a particular car, I have to touch the dot that corresponds to it.

This is kind of confusing since most people would want to advance back and forth to a specific car by swiping.

Any advice you can give is appreciated. I am using the demo as it came without alterations so you can provide the best advice.
