Is there a way to control the text color for a text that is a hotlink. My webpages have many, many text with hotlinks, and the hotlink colors are currently green.

Hello,
The Main Theme Color of the Template is Green. To change the default colors, simply change the HEX Color in the css/colors.css File. For complete instructions, check the Documentation > Start > Color Schemes Section.

When there is a software update, will I then have to go in and manually make the change to text color? Is there a different custom css file that is recommended? Some packages have this capability. If your system doesn't allow for "custom" css, may I propose this for your future update?

A customization file is already included with the Package and you can check the Documentation > Start > Customization Section for more details. Moreover, the css/colors.css File do not change much and if there is an Update, complete Changelog with the List of Code changes is included in the Documentation > Changelog Section so that you can change only those Files that have been changed.
