Hi there, I must be missing something but I cant get your contact form to work on my site. If I complete the form and try to submit, I simply get the spinner processing but nothing seems to submit and no confirmation message of form submission. Please can you advise?

Hello,

We will surely help you out with this.

The include/form.php Form Processor is missing on your Website which is causing this issue. Make sure that you upload the form.php File with your Email Settings: https://docs.semicolonweb.com/docs/forms/form-setup/#docs-section-php in the include/ Folder and this should resolve the issue.

PS. Can you please provide us with further details on how you are using the License as we have detected that you are using One License of Canvas on many multiple websites. Only One License per Website can be used else this will be against License Violation and Abuse, and will result in wrongful illegal usage under the Licensing Terms. We request you to comply and Thanks for Understanding.

Looking forward to your reply at the earliest.

You can see by my FTP screenshot that the form.php is up at the correct location of the website. PHP is enabled on the hosting and the form.php has been correctly completed with the contact email address.

I was not aware I couldnt use this theme on a second site so just let me know how to buy an additional license or do I just add the theme to my envato shopping cart and checkout like normal?

Hello,

Thanks for the reply.

This looks like a Server Issue as the https://hendonspecial.co.uk/include/form.php returns a 404 Error. Can you please confirm if your Server Supports PHP and the Folder has proper permissions to be readable by Public as sometimes this is the most common error that causes these issues. Please consider checking this and let us know if you are facing any further issues with this. Thanks for your Patience!

For the License, we understand and Thanks for clarifying. You can Purchase additional license from here: https://1.envato.market/c/1309643/480739/4415?u=https%3A%2F%2Fthemeforest.net%2Fcart%2Fconfigure_before_adding%2F9228123 and proceed with the Checkout.

Hope this Helps!

Please see attached. An alternative php form has been added as a test and works fine.

See link: https://hendonspecial.co.uk/delete/contact.html

The error your script generates: PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected token "public", expecting end of file in /home/hendonspec2018/public_html/include/phpmailer/src/PHPMailer.php on line 47

Please advise.

Hello,

Canvas uses the Latest unedited Version of PHPMailer: https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer . Based on the error you have mentioned above, this appears to be an issue with the PHP Version you are using on the Servers. Please make sure your PHP Version is 5.5 or later. If the issue still persists, consider providing us with your FTP Details and Our Team can have a look at this and fix this for you. Thanks for your Patience.

Meanwhile, do let us know if we can help you with anything else or if you find any further issues with Canvas.

Back from the hosting provider:

We are using PHP 8.1. PHP 5.5 is almost 15y old and dangerous to use. No longer supported .The oldest one we support is 7.6. The latest PHPMailer supports even 8.2.

Hello,

Yes, so this should work fine and we haven't had any reports from users recently for any issues related to PHPMailer on the Support Forums. In fact our Live Demos runs on it as well: https://canvastemplate.com/contact.html. So it would be great if you can please consider providing us with your FTP Details so that we can look into this and fix this for you asap. Thanks for your Patience.

Hello,

Thanks for your Kind Patience!

We have fixed the issues with the Contact Form. We suspect that the PHPMailer Folder was not properly or partially uploaded to your Servers which might have been causing the issues. We just re-uploaded the Latest Version from the Latest Package and everything seems to be working perfectly fine now.

Additionally, we have changed the SMTP Ports to 587, since you are using TLS and SMTP Debug to 0. Everything seems to be working as expected as of now.

If you are facing any further issues, please let us know and we will be more than happy to help! :)

Thanks you. Is it possible to have captcha on the form too please?

SSemicolon WebSTAFFJul 16, 2023

Hello,

Absolutely! Can you please let us know what kind of Captchas would you like to use? Currently Canvas supports reCaptcha and hCaptcha out of the box. You can find the examples here: https://canvastemplate.com/contact-recaptcha.html and https://canvastemplate.com/contact-hcaptcha.html and the Documentation for the same can be found here: https://docs.semicolonweb.com/docs/forms/form-setup/#docs-section-php . You will need to have a reCaptcha/hCaptcha Account and Generate your reCaptcha/hCaptcha Keys. After that the Setup is simple and requires just 2-3 Lines of Editing the Codes.

Hope this Helps!
