Carousel with images of different sizes

Hello

I'm making a website with your template. It is a website that already exists (I did not do it) and now I have been commissioned to make it new.

I need to make a carousel/slider with different contents (texts and images). The "problem" is that the images are of different sizes both in width and height.

I've manually made changes to the code to make it fit but now to get it working perfectly I need the width to fit each item. I have only managed to do it from the browser by manually deactivating the "width" of the "owl-item" class but it is obviously not the solution.

By javascript/jquery code I have tried to remove the width of the element but it has not worked because when removing it it interprets as a "width:auto".

Please can you tell me how I could do it?
