Canvas grid vs Bootstrap grid

Question

For a grid, I thought I would use Bootstrap, but I see that you use some custom grid classes in the demo pages. Why? When to use one and when to use the other?

You can use any Grid according to your Preference and even replace the Canvas Grid with the Bootstrap Grid or vice-versa and both will work seamlessly without any issues.
