Canvas 6 Update: Changelog

Hello Guys!

We hope you are all Safe and Sound!

Firstly, we owe an Apology that we couldn't deliver the Update on time! This is a Huge setback for us and we cant regret this enough but the Canvas 6 update has been taxing and we will do everything we can to bring you more and more value with the Future Versions of Canvas.

While we are getting ready for the release very soon, we would like to update you on the List of Main Changes that is coming your way:

Grids:

• All the previous Columns (.col_*) have been replaced with Bootstrap Columns. So if .col_full is used somewhere, it has been replaced with .col-*-12 Class. While, .col_half becomes .col-*-6 and .col_one_third becomes .col-*-4. We have updated each and every template to make these changes and made sure everything works fine including the responsiveness. Note that the Bootstrap Columns are always wrapped using a .row DIV and also check out the Complete Options available for using the Bootstrap Grid: https://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.4/layout/grid/ . You can change the Column Responsiveness according to the Column Classes available.

Grid Items:

• Portfolio, Posts, Shop and Events use the Bootstrap Grids for greater flexibility and complete responsive control. Example for Portfolio Grid:

Headers:

Everything should be placed inside the .header-row DIV. And you can add multiple .header-row DIVs according to your Header Content. But wait for us to release the Full Update, but be prepared for these changes.

Primary Menus:

• Primary Menus now used as Class: .primary-menu, instead of ID: #primary-menu for more control

Menu Items:

• Primary Menu Items now uses Classes for more flexibility and more control over the Menu Item's Content:

And we are Very Happy to mention that the Primary Menus are now Mobile First, so any changes you make to the Desktop Version of the Menus, will have no effect on the Mobile Menus. A lot of work has gone into this to make everything as optimized as possible and is certainly 200% more flexible than the Previous Structure.

We are not giving any ETAs, as this has caused a lot of uncertainty and chaos which is completely our fault but we assure you that we will work very hard to ensure this never happens again.
