would love to use this as an index "op-parallax-light-image-fullwidth.html"

however, when I pull this out of the one page folder with the supporting folders it is totally unusable?

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you

Im Not support but I'm trying to help you out with this and I'm not sure what you mean by unusable. By unusable do you mean all of the formatting and images are missing? When I take that html file out and put it into my working directory I get a page missing all of it linked images because I have now destroyed all of the links because the paths are wrong - meaning all of those referenced images are no longer in the image file in my working directory. So using a code editor (I use Brackets- but any editor will work) I change the references (paths) in the html file to my images in the image file in my working directory.

Or, alternatively, you can copy all of the directories over to your working folder (I'm assuming you are moving your project into its own working or project folder on your desktop) so that all of the "canvas" images are moved over to your working directory.

Once all references are restored or new ones added, you should have a working html file. (dont forget to move all the images to your server once you have a completed page).

Again- not sure what you meant by unusable so I'm taking a guess.

in the HTML folder there is a folder called "one-page" in this folder there are a number of well crafted html files, a file called one page.css and three folders "css", "images" and "include" are

When I open the "op-parallax-light-image-fullwidth.html" file still residing in the "one-page" folder ... it looks great, it is perfect, all i have to change the content to what I need for the website I am creating ...

It would seem logical to just use the "one-page" folder alone because the one page.css and three folders "css", "images" and "include" are there.

However ...

When I copy the "one-page" folder out of the "HTML folder" in a working folder and open up "op-parallax-light-image-fullwidth.html" in safari or google chrome the html page is garbage ... at total mess everything is out of alignment ... (all support files and three folders "css", "images" and "include" are still in this folder)

Not sure what I am missing

Hello,

The One Page Module was included as an Update and as an Enhancement to the already included set of Templates. It is Definitely Possible to use the One Page Template inside the Root Directly but you will still need all the core CSS/JS Files along with the onepage.css File to make it work fine. Please consider using this File we have created for you to be simply used in the Root Folders: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hhq68zfvlmmktwu/op-parallax-light-image-fullwidth.html?dl=1 .

You will need to change the CSS/JS Linking in the One Page HTML File you are planning to use and remove the ../ Link prefix and change other Links to one-page/ to make sure that the File Linkings are pointing to the Correct File Locations. Also, make sure to upload the one-page Folder to your Web Server as well since it contains the CSS File for the One Page Styling.

These are the following Folders/Files you will need for the One Page site:

  • css/ Folder

  • images/ Folder (However, you can delete the Images inside this Folder according to your Preference, but don't delete the images/icons/ Folder)

  • include/ Folder (However, you can delete the rs-plugin/ Folder)

  • js/ Folder

  • one-page/onepage.css File

  • style.css File

This will definitely work fine. Thanks for your Patience.
