Background image for index page

For Christmas I want to put a background image for the index page; page is boxed. When I put the background in custom css
body{ background-image:url('../img/christmas/christmas-bundle-background.jpg'); background-repeat:repeat-y;"}
The image appears for a couple of seconds and then disappears; it almost looks like a refresh. How can I make this image stick so it is seen.
Thanks

I setup a test page at http://newyorkknights.com/index-backg.html
With it being on the server instead of local, background image is not always showing for a few seconds as it did locally.
Thanks for your help.

Hello,

We have tried checking out your Website and the issue is that there are Structural Errors on your Page. The #footer Containers are outside the #wrapper Container which can cause issues. Please add it inside the #wrapper Container to avoid further issues. Please follow the HTML Structure as mentioned in the Documentation > Start > HTML Structure Section.

Additionally, we also could not see any Background Image linked to the <body> which is why it is not visible to us. Can you please provide us with the Code you are using to show a Background Image for the Body so that we can check out the exact issue and provide you with a more accurate solution for this. Thanks for your Patience.
