Where in the above code do I put the alt/title on the image? I don't understand background images and how they work but I need the alt/title code.

Background Images do not support alt attributes. You can add the title attribute to the `` tags.

So what's a good header image I can use that allows for alt and title? I don't want to give up SEO for this new template. What would adding it to the "section" look like?

Hello,

In the current code you are using, this would look like this:
[ch_pre][/ch_pre]

Background Images never use alt/title attributes. In order to use alt/title attributes, you will need to use default `` Tags. These are generic HTML Codes, you will need to customize this yourself.

Do any of your new slider or image page titles allow for alt & title tags or are they all background images. the way you coded above it doesn't seem like that would be a title tag for the image. But rather the section. And I need something that will allow for alt title on the image itself.

I am completely on hold on changing 500 pages until this is resolved. So I'd appreciate if you could help and not tell me to go start writing job descriptions, and posting on upwork or whatever, interviewing, reviewing portfolios, giving someone ftp access, explaining the whole website to them etc etc etc.

This seems like you could help me in 5 minutes if you wanted to which makes a lot more sense than me spending 10 hours to get 5 minutes of someone's help.

OK this is getting unacceptable. How much would it be for you to create an entirely new class/div whatever it needs to be that looks and functions just like this code. BUT is a regular image with an an alt and title tag.

It is standard on any theme to allow for a featured image on a page that you can code. Which you've had for years. And you KNOW it's how to do proper SEO. So I don't know why you removed it. How much and how quickly can you do this?

Unacceptable is forcing us to provide Basic HTML Tutorials and something that are clearly Customizations and must be done with the help of a Freelancer. We have mentioned countless time earlier that we do not provide Customization Support and Support is only provided for Features and Codes included with the Package, but you clearly do not respect us or our time. More than that you have been rude multiple times and inconsiderate. We have mentioned earlier through emails that if you are not comfortable with upgrading, then you can continue using the Old Version but you still went ahead with the upgrade and then forcing us to provide support for codes that are not even provided with the Template.

Page Titles use Background Images. There are many other ways to handle SEOs on the Page for Featured Images even when Background Images for Page Titles are used. You can contact Freelance Professionals for these things and not us. We do not provide that service for Free and without Live Chat Support. This is the piece of Custom Code we are providing you with:

I don't think asking for a featured image with proper coding for SEO - which you've had for years - is anything out of the box. As a matter of fact, had you written in your documentation that you eliminated that feature, I would have considered other options. but you did not point it out - and in 2021, eliminating a key SEO feature is something that should be announced, not covered up.

I also said I'd be happy to pay for coding assistance during business hours but YOU refused. I even asked you THIS time for this one thing how much to do it properly?

I've been more than generous with you.

  1. You do not have the Latest Canvas CSS Codes which is why it does not work. You need to upgrade to the Latest Version.

  2. Page Title Parallax using Background Images never had alt/title attributes. Featured Images are used here: http://themes.semicolonweb.com/html/canvas/blog-single-full.html and not in Page Titles. Can you point us where we have mentioned that this feature has been removed? And you are just One out of 60000 users who use Canvas who is complaining.

  3. We have attached what you have mentioned about paying when we said that we can't provide Live Chat Support.

As for being one of whatever complaining. It's because my business relies on being #1 for SEO. Im happy the other people don't notice you've removed SEO features. It's why I'm one of the best in the world at what I do.

But I want results like these and I need to be able to code them properly to get them.

You didn't make an announcement that you removed the feature. That's my point. You did it quietly vs announcing it.

But I do have all the proper codes on my dev site. Except the pet demo but that shouldn't change anything.

The developers gave me this - alt/title are there, but he formatting is all wrong.

Yeah Sure! Then you shouldn't need our help! And isn't that the whole point of using a Template? You build upon it! And that is Customization!

LOL - I said SEO. Not css. or background images. When you do them wrong, they work against SEO, which is what you've done in this case. I'll dig out the old code tomorrow - but I'm also positive it's somewhere in this thread. I copied it for you last week - take a look. I already explained it. it was a slider with an alt and title tag. I asked 6 times for help - make it work on the new theme, find a replacement from the new theme - but nothing from you.

correct - what's the problem? It's all from January. When I started this project and downloaded the theme but since I can't get any help no matter how or who I ask, it's going very slow. Tried posting here, you refused to help and to offer any referrals. Tried several other coder groups. No one else will touch an html theme.

I don't hear any reasonable suggestions from your end on any questions I've had.

you honestly think that having ONE slider image that isn't background, but is an src with lazy loading will change site speed? LOL. Or make any "best practice" difference? ha ha ha.

but it doesn't look like your system is showing the full code around the image and alt/title.

And you absolutely eliminated the ability to use and src with title/alt tags on any slider, featured image or page title. You made them ALL background images and they can't be coded properly for SEO. Obviously, it didn't occur to me you'd eliminate such an important function without announcing it or putting it in your migration docs. That's like saying, we eliminated menus completely from the new theme and not announcing it. Who would think to check if that weren't announced?

  2. What's the problem? You are using an HTML Template without having any knowledge of HTML and you keep asking for Customization Support to add new things! OR Upgrading Old Codes to New Ones which is not part of Support. If we had refused to help, we could have easily blocked you in January. But we try to help everyone who uses Canvas and provide reasons for any Support or Customization Request that cant be completed. Guess you can't have no for an answer. It's also not our job to find you a Freelancer and when we tried to help you, you have been very hard to work with. So none of the developers from our team wants to take a Paid Job from you because it would likely cause them a lot of time and a mental workout.

Sorry about the issues, but this is the best we can help you with. You need more knowledge in HTML/CSS in order to work with HTML Templates.

HAHA Wow! You use different codes and then Blame Us!

The Codes you have posted here: https://www.filmproposals.com/Business-Plan-Services.html is different from what you have posted in this Support Ticket.

Here are the Codes you are using: http://themes.semicolonweb.com/html/canvas/index.html . And the Codes YOU are using on YOUR Website have been customized and was never provided with Canvas. So we never removed it! :) We dare you to prove us wrong.

Are you sure your old freelancers didn't provide you with those codes? :D

Wow - wrong on every account.

https://www.filmproposals.com/Business-Plan-Services.html - this is from Canvas. 2018. Maybe I changed the image to an src, to be coded correctly. But at least it was possible. So functionality that was there is gone now. It was removed.

And of course I know which code I'm using to test NOW. It's from the new template you changed.

Why is this so hard for you? I'll try and find a 10 year old who has time to take you up on your dare rather then a run a business. Will let you know if I find one. And if you find an adult who can help me instead of wasting my time, please let me know that as well.

I think I was pretty clear. The ones formatted correctly don't have functionality. The one with functionality is not formatted correctly. What don't you understand?

If you knew that much we wouldn't be arguing here. You would have already fixed them according to the codes we have provided you with. :)

Then try to follow our instructions and update the codes on your Website to the Latest Version of Canvas. See the attached image how the Codes look in the Latest Version.
