Hello,

Simply add the title Attribute with your desired Value to the Input Field for which you would like to change the Error Message. Example: 

<input type="text" id="template-contactform-name" name="template-contactform-name" title="Custom Error Message for this Field!" value="" class="sm-form-control required" />

This will definitely work fine. Hope this Helps!
