I was testing the portfolio-ajax-in-modal.html using Chrome Version 53.0.2785.143 (64-bit) on OS X El Capitan and Windows 7 and it doesn't work. Once the pop-up button was clicked, a dark overlay shows up and the page appears to be ever loading.

In Chrome developer console page, an alert messages saying "Synchronous XMLHttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated because of its detrimental effects to the end user's experience.... jquery.js:1"

However, it works perfectly fine using Safari on OS X.

Please suggest a fix for the issue with Chrome. thanks.

Hello,

We Really Apologize about the Inconveniences caused! However, we have just checked this out and it appears to be working fine for us. According to the Issue you have mentioned, it appears that you are viewing the File using your Local File System due to which it does not work as most Browsers do not support this owing to Browser Security. Please consider using a Localhost (XAMPP or MAMP) or your Online Web Server to test this and we are pretty sure that this would work fine. Thanks for your Patience.

Meanwhile, do let us know if we can help you with anything else or if you find any further issues with Canvas.

Thanks for your reply. I thought that was the cause too. However, the Ajax in modal function doesn't work on the following page using Chrome on both PC and Mac:

http://themes.semicolonweb.com/html/canvas/portfolio-ajax-in-modal.php

I got the same result as mentioned earlier. Again, the page functions properly using Safari on Mac.

Could you please advise what's wrong with that? I want to make sure the ajax in modal function works properly across different browsers and OS before I make use of it.

Many thanks
