Adobe Dreamweaver CC 18.2

I am easily able to open pages and view them in the latest version of Dreamweaver.
I have not started to rebuild my site yet as I don't want to corrupt any files by opening in Dreamweaver. The pages I open work great, are loading graphics, animations, etc. and the code only view looks much the same as that on Sublime Text.

I see older posts in the forum that say that Canvas does not work with Dreamweaver, then I see a post that says Canvas works for some people.
It is 10/28/2018 and I wonder if you might know if Dreamweaver is now equal to Sublime Text. I do not want to have to learn Sublime Text if I don't have to.

Thanks to all for any information.

Sorry to repost, however I see answers to others posted after my comment. Perhaps I was not clear.... I do need to know of any issues discovered when using Dreamweaver. Has the author made the updates referred to in post from 2017? Should I just purchase Sublime?
Thanks!

Hello,

Thanks for your Patience! We have already been preparing to reply to your Support Query. :)

We don't actively support Adobe Dreamweaver as an Editor since we have never used it to develop Canvas. We have always used Sublime Text to develop Canvas and our priority is to make Canvas widely compatible in Browsers so that your Website's Visitors can have a uniform experience.

If Dreamweaver is working fine for you, we encourage you to use it or whatever you are comfortable with. However, unfortunately, we are not tweaking the Codes within Canvas currently to suit the Editors. Also, we think that Dreamweaver has been actively improved to support Modern Web Standards which is why Dreamweaver appears to be working smoothly for you. :)

Hope this Helps!

Let us know if we can help you with anything else or if you find any further issues.

Thank you very much for your kind reply. I appreciate your insights. It does seem that Dreamweaver has been vastly improved in the past year and I am having excellent results so far. If you like, I will send notes after I finish the project I am on now. Best regards.
